A lively social program at NHM

We look forward to welcoming all NHM attendees at the opening ceremony in Háskólabíó on Wednesday at 16:00.

The opening ceremony includes addresses from Silja Bára Ómarsdóttir, the rector of the University of Iceland, and Ólöf Garðarsdóttir, the dean of the School of Humanities at the University of Iceland as well as the keynote by Professor Mary Hilson from Aarhus University.

The winner of the Nordic History Book Prize will be announced, and we will have an abridged version of the comedy How to Become Icelandic in 60 minutes.

The opening ceremony will conclude with a reception, with generous contributions from the Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish Embassies in Reykjavík.
